Loved by God
In this short guided meditation, we take a few minutes in silence to listen to truth from God’s Word. We focus on our breath, pay attention to thoughts that come up, and speak truth into our lives from Scripture. It’s easy to get lost in our minds or not even realize how our thought patterns are guiding all we do, but we are invited to allow God’s truth to sink in deep, redirect our thoughts, and welcome us into God’s eternal love.
Praying God's Will Be Done
Phil guides us through praying the second line of the Lord’s Prayer, “Your kingdom come, your will be done on earth as it is in heaven.” We pray this line over ourselves, a loved one, a stranger, and an enemy. This practice helps us go deeper into each line of the prayer and is an excellent way to pray any Scripture as we make space for the Spirit and for others in our lives.
Stillness in the Midst
In this guided meditation, Phil leads a short visualization, tells a couple stories, and guides a short meditation in stillness. No matter what we are feeling, whether it be fear or anxiety, doubt or joy, stillness helps us become present to it, name it, and engage it in a life-giving way in the presence of God.
Jesus' Words on the Cross
Phil leads a guided meditation centered around 7 phrases Jesus spoke from the cross as found in the Gospels. We are invited to reflect, pray, and sit with these words, allowing the Holy Spirit to speak in, through, and to us. May Jesus’ words take root in your life and guide you as you engage your own suffering and the suffering of the world with the truth of the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus.
Promises of God in the Silence
In this guided meditation and time of prayer, Phil invites us to hear and experience the promises of God in the midst of silence. During difficult times, it’s important for us to root deep in truth, remembering what God has said to us and continues to say to us today. Here, we take a few minutes to allow God to speak to us through the Living Word.
Gratitude Meditation
Phil guides a meditation on gratitude, offers some reflections on gratitude, and concludes with a reading of Psalm 139. Whether or not you have ever meditated, you are invited to make space for a few minutes to practice gratitude and make space for the Holy Spirit!
