In this episode, Phil and Erin discuss their new singing bowl and the history of using bells in the Bible and Church history. Used as a call to worship, to call us back to the present, and to remind us to open ourselves to God’s presence and the voice of the Holy Spirit, singing bowls are a fun and helpful addition to spiritual disciplines.
Scripture References
Exodus 28:33-35 – Make pomegranates of blue, purple and scarlet yarn around the hem of the robe, with gold bells between them. The gold bells and the pomegranates are to alternate around the hem of the robe. Aaron must wear it when he ministers. The sound of the bells will be heard when he enters the Holy Place before the Lord and when he comes out, so that he will not die.
