Jeff Campbell, author of the new book Examining the Examen, joins the podcast to take us into the well-known Christian practice known as the Ignatian Examen. A contemplative practice based on the ministry of Ignatius of Loyola, this creative practice helps us reflect on our lives in order to better see the movement of God. It’s one of those practices that can help us better connect with God today by taking some time to look back and see/hear God in our past. Looking back at both positive and difficult experiences, the examen is an opportunity to see God even if we hadn’t previously seen God in those situations before. It’s an opportunity to learn from our past and invite healing and connection in the present.
