Jesus died and rose three days later. We frequently remember and celebrate the day Jesus died, and we celebrate the resurrection, but we often forget about the time in between, the Saturday. The space between death and resurrection when all seemed lost and nobody knew what was going on. We live in a time when we like to skip over the Saturdays of life. We are taught to ignore or medicate pain. Even as Christians we are often taught just to jump to Sunday, the the Good News of resurrection. But the truth is, there are a lot of Saturdays in life. What do we do with these times between death and resurrection? When all seems to be lost and we don’t know where to go next or if we can even make it to what’s next? In this episode, we invite you into the Saturdays of life and share some thoughts about what these times can mean and how we can journey through them as followers of Jesus, not ignoring them or running away from them, but by entering into them.

Scripture Referenced – Luke 24 (NIV)
Very useful, I had a hard time yesterday (Saturday). Someone pointed me to Psalm 88, which leads to experiencing the grief. I wish I had read this earlier, but as you say, it applies to life. Thank you.
Absolutely! Thank you for sharing your experience. We have definitely connected with Psalm 88 and are so grateful God offers us such a prayer!
